West Brom are pretty dead in the water now and Swansea won't be up to much. OK, we DEFINITELY wont finish 8th. And shouldn't finish below the RS. Not considering how woeful as a team they are.

Haha, see, beat the optimism out of you eventually

I'll be disappointed if we're not top 6 myself. Liverpool have brought players in but we've just gotten Gibson and Mirallas back and providing they stay fit our starting eleven is much stronger than it was for the first two thirds of the season.

That is my predictions for the games we have left..... realistically.

That's 68 pts (isn't it?) and would of secured 5th place last season?

On current point per game achieved...
http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/PR/ppgame.html

...we stand to achieve 64.8 points.

In the past 10 seasons, 65 points would've got us...

....I think these stats are a really useful benchmark/target. I always feel that 25 points for Xmas is a decent marker for us. I do think it's achievable because we are a very decent side. Hopefully when we play Man Utd, Arsenal, et al they will be embroiled in Europe. I do think it will be a major embarressment if our neighbours don't finish above us taking account of the monies they have spent. Phil McNulty pointed out that £38m of Rodgers' players started the Oldham game and he has invested more this week. They spent more releasing Cole than we did on Stones.

Right, I've found a predictor.

Got us to lose to United, Liverpool and Chelsea

Draw at Arsenal and Spurs

Beat City at home.

Table looks like this.

P Team PL GD PTS
1 Man Utd 38 54 97
2 Man City 38 56 89
3 Chelsea 38 52 83
4 Everton 38 24 70
5 Tottenham 38 23 70
6 Arsenal 38 34 69
7 Liverpool 38 23 65
8 West Brom 38 -6 47
9 Norwich 38 -20 47
10 Swansea 38 -1 45
11 Sunderland 38 -8 45
12 Stoke 38 -11 44
13 Reading 38 -20 38
14 Newcastle 38 -23 35
15 Southampton 38 -23 35
16 West Ham 38 -25 35
17 Fulham 38 -20 34
18 Wigan 38 -33 33
19 Villa 38 -40 33
20 QPR 38 -36 24

Would make for a hell of an exciting last day of the season.
