Daily Post lobs this in at the end of today's round-up, which should please those of you who were worrying about the keeping situation:

The 28-year-old, who began his career at Bayern Munich, is available on a free.

Some translated tidbits:

The visit is a chance for each side to get to know one another. "The club wants to see what kind of a person I am, I want to look around the surroundings and get to know the team and trainer. When both sides decide that things are OK I can envisage a move there. Playing in England was always a dream of my youth"

Wessels signed a two-year contract but can leave on a free transfer as part of the conditions.

"Up until now I have turned down all offers which came in. But Everton is an excellent destination with a positive perspective. That's the reason I'm taking a look."

Moyes does seem to love his goalkeepers. In his time we've had:

Wright
Martyn
Howard
Turner
Ruudy
That really crap one we had on loan
And the guys that were here when he joined.

It must be the position in the team that he has fiddled with the most.

sure.. but martyn and howard are two of his better signings. let's hope this guy provides good cover and pushes howard for a place in the team.
