ChesterFC are delighted to announce the appointment of Steve Watson as First Team Manager.

The 47-year-old takes over with immediate effect and his first game in charge will be our visit to AFC Telford United on Boxing Day.

Watson, who becomes our sixth permanent managerial appointment since reformation, has penned a contract initially until the end of the season at the Deva Stadium.

Got unlucky at York City, as they were looking odds on to go up automatically in his first season, then the season got cancelled.

Struggled after that and the York fans had had enough in the end.

Likeable fella and I wish him well.
