I can see him playing off the right side to be honest. If Cahill's staying he will not be a sub.

How do you know he just didn't fancy the scottish third against Elgin city and the like?

Do you think the people still there fancy it either?

Anyway, it's looking nailed on Rangers will be parachuted into Scot Div One (and there's serious talk now theyll actually be let back in the SPL), so the 'career move' stuff's looking a bit ropey as an explanation.

Where do Stoke get all thier dough from?

I heard a parent company subsidises them but surely they can't be getting the silly money them always seem to spend?

They are backed by Peter Coates who owns Bet365. He's got some serious money and doesn't seem to mind giving much of it Tony Pulis to spend. Not on high fashion though, obviously.

It's something to do with tax write downs from the gaming industry...it generates about £8M per season for Pulis IIRC because they channel it into the team. There's info online about this.

Of the players still there not many would get better offers IMO. one or two seasons out the spotlight wouldn't make no odds to them or their careers.

At least 5 SPL chairmen have said it's a definite no to them going back in.

Taking a 75% pay cut is paying your dues IMO, not wanting to work with another group of shady feckers is a good reason too.

Yes, exactly this. Clever use of the money. It's this that is allowing them to compete to the level they currently are.

Great bit of news, deal done nice and early. Here's hoping that the partnership he had with Jelly can be rekindled

Cheers, makes a bit of sense how they keep bidding top dollar for every player we get linked with.

Whittaker is turd and he got a deal easily enough.

Coates is obviously a big stoke fan as well & him and Pullis are really close ( random fact they go to church together apparently ) & hes not the type to squander his dough on high living . Coates loves where the pair have taken stoke and if you look at the 'journey' they've taken they probably deserve to be proud whatever we think about the football

He looks good enough to do a job for a club like Norwich to be honest. I doubt he'll win the CL but he's not bad. The best of the rest like fleck and Ness are going to lower rated clubs too.

I can imagine Bill and Ginger pubes doing the same, skipping down the road to Phillip Green's synagogue begging him to defer his loan interest payments.
