See the clip below of Gerrards back 'pass' to Drogba do you reckon it was deliberate???

Now I would normally dismiss such speculation however I was talking to a mate who supports your wonderful neighbours who says he missed the pen against new Delih FC on Wednesday on purpose just to get Hodgson out

Just got me thinking

I may be talking [Poor language removed] by the way but waht do you think

Nah let's be sensible. It's just an extremely poor backpass - if he were cheating, he'd have let in a much easier chance than that, like a miscontrol, falling over or something.

I just think it's a moment of complete fail from a player who has a few moments of complete fail now and again which the press gloss over.

Of course he meant it. If that assist from GBH hadn't have succeeded he (or one of the other Liverpool players) would have passed back a lot more, or even scored an own goal. There was no way Liverpool were going to deny three points to Chelsea that day. No way.

It's understandable too. If that was us playing Chelsea and (unlikely event I know) Liverpool needed us to get a point, I'd fully expect Everton's players to understand they needed to roll over. I'd be furious if they didn't do their duty. The only thing that annoyed me about this Liverpool/Chelsea match was that, in it's aftermath, Gerrard and Liverpool were let off the hook by the media that day for a criminally unprofessional performance. If United would have tanked a game in that obvious fashion the LFC dominated media mafia would have been crying buckets and screaming for an inquiry. SAF and United were exemplary at the time: took it on the chin and moved on. Let's hope they have the last laugh this year and get #19 and rub the Kopite's noses right in the [Poor language removed].

just talked to me mate oversea`s - reckoned the whole team didnt turn up against blackburn, no running, tackling -nowt

Can never understand why Liverpool fans actually wanted to lose that day. I mean, watching a match your team is playing...and wanting them to lose?

Fair enough they didn't want Man Utd to win the title. We didn't when we beat Arsenal in 1999 and 2003 but we knew that us winning was more important than whatever happened to another club. And admittedly I wouldn't have been arsed if we lost today because the league is much more important than the cup but I still got behind the team because it's Leeds United playing a match.

What's the point on calling yourself a "supporter" if you're going to cheer when a team scores against you? It shows how far Liverpool have fallen along with their fans, a club who dominated English fooball long before Man Utd were anything special, one with a bulging trophy cabinet, reduced to this kind of mentality. Pathetic, no matter what the outcome was.
