He won't demand. He'll be given a decent one for his hard work and goals.
To be fair to the Yak the stats post injury are very misleading, i dont remember him starting that many games post injury, he may have came on for ten minute cameos here and there and less after he fell out with Davey.
I think most people when they talk about games after he came back from injury need to keep in mind they were brief cameos.
RFUS and one or two others in the summer were the only ones to back the Yak this season and called it as the mistake it was to let him go, forza Napoli/Belgium.
The hypocrisy was Yakubu's. When he demanded 25% more in wages. (£1.6million a year more!).
Thats hypocrisy.
Moyes played him 53 times mate, im sure you watched all those games, I know I did and im fairly sure you did, if you saw anything, 1 game apart, that hinted in him caring 1 JOT about playing for Everton, please, highlight it for me.
Tx will have forgotten the time Yakubu went "missing" for two days when he should of been back at Finch Farm after an international.
Took himself on a little holiday did Yak.
Short memories on here.
Tosh was Yakubu's excuse to Moyes for not returning to Finch Farm on time.
Tosh was Yakubu's demand for an extra million and a half wages a year...
But all the games mentioned how many did he start in?? because the last 15 months of the Yak I remember he was either injured or on the bench whilst Saha played with Cahill
This. 11 Straqs won't win you sh*t. You need some lazy slotters, like it or not. Yak was a moody lazy sod, but it's Moyes job to motivate him. He failed, so Yak failed. Now Steve Kean is succeding. We will see next season if he can still handle him then. Either way, I'd have Yak. I can see him scoring 20 again, with the right management. Straq? Not so much Still love him tho.
Does anyone remember that Yakubu actually stopped scoring goals?
Here's the difference between Denis and Yakubu:
Clubs will actually pay Yakubu a decent wedge to play for them, even though they may have other options.
There, i said it. We all know it's true really. Denis isn't good enough to be able to drive a hard bargain.
I said it before (right after he was sold), that Moyes made a huge mistake selling the Yak and he's proven me right by banging them in for fun for a lesser quality side.
Now...
Lets start a thread and a poll that's Straq vs. Saha.
I imagine we'll see a lot of the same mindless drivel about Saha that we saw about the Yak.
Wow...you're like a dog on a bone. When you get a hold of something, you sure don't let go.
Eagerly awaiting your sources/proof that demonstrate that Yak was looking for a huge pay raise. You've been holding on that one for awhile.
No. If I recall correctly, he took his ill advised extended holiday before he blew his Achilles out.
See above. Oh, and let's just assume that somehow you may actually be right about him demanding a pay raise. He'd have been one of the only players that would have deserved it.
...and that 152 people on here want the Straq over the Yak (presumably because he "runs alot") just embarasses me to no end.
I thought Evertonians were knowledgable about football and football players. Well apparently not, 152 to 49.
£1.5m we got for him. Embarrassing.
I would have paid them 1.5m to get rid lad.

You don't recall correctly.
Yakubu returns late from internation duty : Feb 2008.

Yakubu suffers achilles injury : November 2008.

Come on Trollboy you can do better than that.
Is this despite him being OFF all summer? On holiday.
Yeah. I can see the correlation there in preventing his Achilles bursting.
He had 6 weeks on the beach June/July 2008 !
*sarcasm*
Its you that should do better. Standards have slipped.
this needs its own thread. matt damon vs. deathbyro....
would be cool, like apocalyptic cool
