If am honest, I'd prefer winning the UEFA Cup or the FA Cup over a top 4 finish next season.
Winning a trophy is the next priority on Alan Stubbs' list.
Having secured his future at Everton by signing a one-year contract last week, Stubbs is now hoping to get his hands on some silverware.
He is confident the Toffees, who haven't won a major trophy since 1995, are capable of launching an assault on the cup competitions next term.
"If we were to do that with the squad we have got, it would be a fantastic achievement and one that would be fully deserved because of how good a bunch of lads we have got here," Stubbs told evertonTV.
"Whether we can do that is another thing. You need a bit of luck, you need a good squad, you need quality and I feel as if we have got that."
Most recently Everton were dispatched from the FA Cup at the third round stage by Blackburn, and from the Carling Cup at the fourth round stage by eventual finalists Arsenal.
"The luck we can't do anything about," continued Stubbs.
"They do say you make your own luck and if that's the case then I don't see a reason why we can't win some silverware."
If am honest, I'd prefer winning the UEFA Cup or the FA Cup over a top 4 finish next season.
