Alan Stubbs has signed a new one year contract at Everton today.
Stubbs who has been a rock at the back for Everton this season and in past seasons, jumped at the chance to sign on the dotted line again for a further one year at the Blues.
Stubbsy said “It was simple to be honest. I am happy and proud to be signing a new contract when I’m 35. It is a nice moment for me.”
“I always dreamed of playing for Everton and hopefully this club will be where I end my career.”
Stubbs is in his second spell at the club after resigning from Sunderland last season after initially leaving the Toffee’s after the 2004/2005 campaign.
This is good news for Blues fans everywhere as Stubbs has become a hero at Goodison Park in recent seasons and Blues fans will be looking forward to seeing the centre back playing again in Everton’s European campaign next season.
