If it's approved, then the Premier League - and all others - will come under pressure to follow suit.

Can only see this benefitting those clubs with deep squads... hardly likely to benefit the current Everton squad.

Pretty sure I told people before that the longer this goes on the more likely it becomes permanent. The big clubs haven't even begun to scratch the surface of what ridiculous things are possible with five subs allowed. Lots of new strategies are going to come into play in the coming years and it obviously benefits the richer sides.

How long before NFL style offensive squads and defensive squads which switch out depending on who has the ball

either way, for a lot of teams 5 subs would actually make the team worse, as the bench is filled with youngsters or injury cases

Great idea. We can give all our goalies a half hour and still keep 3 subs that we wont make up our sleeves.

It won't. The rich clubs will start focusing on making sure they have plenty of people stocked up to bring on fresh and overpower the lesser sides.
