Behave. you are a mod/admin now, such commandments surely could be construed in a negative light. It's a contact sport. indeed it is, but rarely with the face, specifically, hands in the faces of opponents. If he punched him then fair enough but a red card for that would have been a shambles. 8 game ban for ferguson for punching scharner in the body? There's a serious problem in football of a lack of respect from both sides. both sides of what? both sides of players? players officials? clubs and the FA? fans and fans? it goes on and on and on. Look at rugby and you simply don't see it. dont see the money, prestige, skill, or hero worship on the scale of football in whatever code of rugby you mention. The League match on Friday involved a dust up with proper punches shown on both sides, 10 minutes in the sin bin to calm things down and the game went on. rugby (whichever) is an upper body contact sport in every instance. and in some cases when punches are thrown, knees are used or studs are raked, suspensions after the fact along with meaningful fines are apportioned. Referees don't explain their decisions to fans (cough, certain famous facists didnt explain much to their victims in the history of mankind...cough cough) so I doubt they explain them to players either. Maybe if they treated them like adults they'd get better behaviour in return. (MAYBE if video evidence was used after a crime in football and was properly punished then a message would be sent of zero tolerance to the individuals involved. as it stands, too many players get away with breaking too many rules. wearing the 'right' shirt appears to help. is the 'right' shirt a point of debate in the ruggers? (whichever code?)

back to good old responsibility again.

amazing.

Ok, I normally refrain from giving my opinion on here when its negative but I am going to for once.

As most on here will know, in the past I have been a big supporter of David Moyes but the air of uncertainty he has cast over the club in recent months has made me look at the situation in another light.

I have been brought up as a fan to understand that no individual is bigger than Everton football club. I'll always believe that. So let me continue....

Lets look at what he has achieved during his time as Everton manager. Whats that your thinking? 'Well, we finished fourth mate....', fair enough, but then look at were that that got us. In the same measure it could be highlighted that under Moyes, we finished a Premier League season with out lowest ever points tally. Theres no doubt as a team we have improved quality wise during his time at the club, no doubt at all. I'll always be thankful for that, his reign as Everton manager has been the best in which I have supported the club but for me, its time for Moyes to either sign his contract, explain why he hasn't or leave.

To me, Moyes has given the impression that he is bigger than the club. Who is he to keep the club waiting? Who is he to cast doubt over the club? Would a player get away with what he has done? Would you sign for a club who's manager wont? It has got to his head, it really has. The 'Moyesiah' and Kenwright constantly singing his praises. Lets just look at the bare facts, success wise he hasn't achieved anything other than doing a job as expected of gradually improving the side, which he has obviously done.

Should Everton now remove the contract from the table? Give him a bit of a smack down to earth? For me he hasnt earned a new contract. Certainly not one to the tune of the reported £60,000 a week. A main concern for me is Moyes' inability to see how a game unfolds....

For me, he seems to have given up on his main role as manager and that is to make the most of the resources he has available, no matter how limited they are. You can blame the board all you like, but for now I want a manager in charge who will make the most of what he has, rather than apparently sulking. I have been giving every reason possible as to why he may not have signed, potential new owners, wanting more money etc... but I am dismissing them all now. This isn't a criticism at Moyes' ability, far from it. But I am just not happy at all with the whole contract situation. At the moment we are a club in limbo, I love Moyes but I get the impression his heart doesnt seem to be in it at the moment and its stemming to the whole club.

Disgruntled, pissed of Evertonian with a knee jerk reaction who will probably retract everything I have said later on. If we put on a poor showing at Liege and still no news regarding contract, I suspect there will be even more, bigger knee jerk reactions.

that right there, removes all credibility from everything you offer.

who advised you on such a tact? how could you take someone else seriously after posting such an opinion on the forum they own and run?

please dont ban me for pointing out what i see as an obvious flaw, i mention it only to progress the forum not to impose any anxiety on you or any other forum participant.

thankyou.

Can anyone shed light on this?

I'm a bit baffled. Whats he moaning at me for now? I refrain from usually posting negativity? Whats wrong with that? In the same way I refrain from saying negative things in life, its my personality... I suppose its that old, cheesy saying... "if you havent got anything nice to say......"

Also as an admin, I would naturally refrain from the likes of "oh for f**ks sake, what a f*****g s***e game - Yakubu was a joke" etc.

Am I right in thinking what I posted was reasonable and to just assume Suits still doesn't like me?, I think I may have upset him at some point but who knows? Hard to tell because his posts are "a bit" ambiguous.

So c'mon. Lets guess why Suits has a problem with my post....

500 points to whoever can tell me why Suits has a problem with that thread of mine.

I'm sure i'm gonna regret this but what the hell, here goes :

1 : You're a hippie, and he flat out doesn't like them.

2 : You are a conspiricist towards him (don't know if thats actually a word but the hell).

3 : He lost what ever small part of the plot he had remaining.

4 : He actually really liked your post but because his posts make sense to him and him only you didn't realise.

Other than that, i'm as stumped as you are mate.

I'm not having a go at Suits by the way. Far from it.

Just as mystified as ever as why he is having another go at me - hoping we can solve it collectively!

Suits is strangely drawn to your magnetic personality and is fighting an obsession to be near to you.

I claim my 500 points! b)

Danny Suits thrives on controversy if its not there he invents it,I have a theory that there are two suits one that posts good sensible thought provoking things and the other one seeking controversy and confrontation.I claim my 500pts:lol::lol::lol:

We'll split them, Roy. We're both right. :D

i'll go further than that roy, i think suits is actually two different people using the same username. either that or he flips a coin with sensible on one side antagonising on the other, he psots dependant on the result.

So I take it people are struggling to tell me why me saying "I normally refrain from giving my opinion on here when its negative" means;

that right there, removes all credibility from everything you offer.

who advised you on such a tact? how could you take someone else seriously after posting such an opinion on the forum they own and run?

I was worried I dropped the ball big time, thinking my credibility had vanished to the extent of being bullied more so than usual at GOT meets and reputation to "closet red"

Maybe it's because this forum is portrayed as pro Moyes and all things Everton, and he thought the owner was contradicting those standards and beliefs.

This is not my viewpoint, just trying to read between the lines, and probably getting it badly wrong in the process.
