No way is he slower than Barry. He gets about the pitch quite well

Watched him in Europe last season. In all 5 appearances it was like he was running in quick sand.

I wouldn’t mind a bet an aging Ossie would be faster.

Yes he gets around the pitch, but he isn’t quick by any stretch of the imagination.

Hopefully, but I have my doubts he can maintain that form for a season physically or mentally. I'd have replaced him.

Me too, but finding takers for the ridiculous wages we've agreed is going to make shifting players really tricky. This is going to be a 5 year rebuilding job after the last 18 month splurge.

He’s certainly not as slow as you’re making out. He’s got a decent turn of pace.

Pope or Heaton will soon be on the move. My point is that IF the club decide to sell Pickford I wouldn't be worried about finding a good replacement.

So if we follow your plan and sell pickford about 50m, why would Burnley sell one of them 2 for any less than about 40m?

No. But this sounds intersting from Dyche yesterday regarding GK places:

“The thing with goalkeepers is they do know their own world. They know only one of them can play. They equally know, as Tom knows from last season, how quickly that changes. Sometimes it changes quickly. Other times it doesn’t change for a long time. Popey’ has been given a bit of extra time off and he’ll be here next week, but Tom is a great servant and a great goalkeeper. So we will monitor that accordingly.”

Dyche is obviously not stuoid thinking a club like Burnley can hold onto two first team GKs. Either one would be a very decent replacement for us.
So basically the complete opposite of what you were implying about Pope no longer being first choice.

Interesting indeed.

There can't be many goalies posting on here? Pope and Heaton are imo very good keepers....Pickford is better than both, ergo we hang on to him at all costs. Talk about replacements when he goes (if at all) and not now...end of speculation!!!

Pope is a very poor keeper, very poor.

Burnley will sell this summer as they know it as well as in Heaton they have a very good cat.

Avoid at all costs. I wouldnt even have him as back up.

LOL, the England reserve world cup keeper.
