How people pronounce @davek differently is the one which always amuses me.

That's how I read it. DaveK would be the correct format for yours.

It's his fault for the confusion.

IS it ‘Dave K.’

Or

‘Davvek’

Tbh I’ve got him on ignore so it doesn’t matter much! Except that he’s so active sometimes the pages don’t make sense as people are just replying to him/her/them

I always read it as dav-ek but I'm pretty sure that it was mentioned on here, at least a few months if not years ago, that it's Dave K.

Davek is definitely a Slav in my book.

It's the format that makes me read it like that.

Take yours for example PhilM I read it as Phil M, davek is just a made up word.

Actually, it isnt. Its the exact same thing as PhilM, just no capitals.

No. Its his name, and first letter of his last name. As in PhilM, (I assume thats his name anyrate)

dav-ek has been the name in my head for years and I don't know if I could come to terms with DaveK now.
He'll always be dav-ek to me anyway.

I always assumed his last name was Avek, as in D Avek!

Yep. Its why tons on RAWK assumed he is Dave Kelly. He isnt.

I have a conscience issue (cognitive dissonance?), in betting on Everton to be relegated...I just cannot do it. However, were I a more mercenary type,odds at 33-1 look not untempting (and, as you say, post Wolves they'll be considerably shorter)

It's not worth a pound even if it was 333-1.

I take little notice of odds. Alan Stubbs was about 7 to 1 on to become our new manager at one point. Odds mean nothing. It's just bookies manipulating their market to limit their losses, or more often than not, maximise their winnings.

The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced it's Dave K. Dave is of course a shortened form of David. The K is probably silent...I'm thinking Knight, or Knightsbridge perhaps.
Yes...that's it! davek is actually David Knightsbridge...question solved!

Anyway, knowing David Knightsbridge's true identity isn't going to solve our issues at CB...so can we please now concentrate on more pressing matters lads?
