Look at realistically.

Brands has been here a few weeks, so unless he`s been scouting players in the Premier League on the sly, whilst in the Dutch League, will he have been seen enough of Loftus Cheek, to decide that he`s what we need and lob possibly 30 mil plus for him ?. Especially when so far, we`ve shifted two players out of the dozen or so possibly surplus to requirements.

Can`t see it myself.

I sense it may have come from Silva though. They seem to work well together. Silva got Chalobolah last season and may well have known about RLC before that. I would imagine he would have led the suggestions to Brands, and RLC fits the profile of what Brands would look for.

Mooy is trash ffs i really hope thats not real overhyped garbage, im living in australia and all i hear is these lot banging on about him ffs...

2017/18 season

36 Appearances
20% cross accuracy
Tackle Success 59% (his primary job)
Shooting Accuracy 24%
16 successful 50/50’s
160 duels lost

What can he do????

There are a lot of lazy signings made by managers - players who worked with them at past clubs, players of the same nationality, players returning to a club after a spell away, and players touted around that they take the bait on.

I'm not saying that these routes always result in poor signings, not at all, but the whole point of getting Brands to work alongside Silva is hopefully to by-pass some of this laziness and implement a proper, global scouting network that sees players signed on grounds of ability, position, age, and value.

Otherwise there is no point in Brands being here. He has to drive transfer policy and do it for the long-haul, for the benefit of the squad and club. If he doesn't come up with some genuine finds then we might as well just let Silva play Championship Manager in the office at FF. But everything Brands has said to date indicates that he knows his brief.

I'm confident about signings in the medium to long-term. We just have to let them do their work methodically.

This is a really good point, I also think the progress will be slower than most want/expect. If the right players aren't available we won't panic buy,

Guys like Brands don't work to artificial 1 window deadlines. He will have a destination he wants to get Everton too, a budget he has in mind he works towards and will have a timescale with which he can do that. I highly doubt he will expect to do it in 1 summer.

I hope to see us going in the right direction. It seems a small expectation, but it's not something I've felt for at least 2 years.

Have you ever watched YouTube? About 99% of it isn't vital, it isn't some artistic genius trying to get their vision out there. It's just people doing stuff their passionate about that other people are passionate about.

About half of YouTube is people playing videogames and talking over them where's the vital service there? But people love them, people watch them and people subscribe to their patreon and pay to watch more of it. There is a channel call whatculture wrestling that has over a million subscribers and they just talk about wrestling everyday that's not vital, it's not providing a needed service but there's a market for it people want it.

It might be a boring argument but let's face it if it looks like a duck, acts like a duck and quacks like a duck then it's a duck.

Live and let live, they obviously enjoy doing the stuff they do otherwise wouldn’t do it. It’s nice to see fellas making something whatever it may be. I don’t personally subscribe or know them but hats off to them putting time and energy into it. The game has gone that way now that not having a prescence would be strange as all clubs have fans doing similar.

I hope they make money and it isn’t a drain on their lives as it looks from the outside they put a lot of time, money and effort into their project.
