Think depends on if iwobi goes then could see another winger come in. I think danjuma will be used out wide and as back up striker, but would be a mistake of he is dcl backup. We need a player who can lead the line like dcl
I think Id agree, if you are going to bring in only one CF it has to be someone who can clearly lead the line. I just dont see them bringing in a 3rd winger unless Gray goes which might leave us light on the right depending on Iwobi.

Player with zero minutes senior football for £14m a better bet than 19 year old full Italy international?

Make it make sense.
Just a feeling watched him a few times at u18 )u21 can be erratic and maybe his numbers are a bit misleading at u21s level like lavia who went to Southampton worth a punt at that price

I think there’s a reason Man City are happy to let him go mate. Pep is pretty good at giving young players opportunities and if he’s seen enough to deem him not good enough that’s telling. I get what you mean tho, he may still be good enough for us. Unfortunately our position we can’t take big punts on unproven youngsters tho.

I think if gray does go then will push gnonto to us gives us more money to bring him in. I would like us to have two players for each side out wide, but would not be shocked if he uses young as one of the back up options outwide aswell as fb. I hope that the club does fill each position just cant see it

IF...and I mean IF...there was to be another one in before the weekend as reported, you'd imagine something may be coming out tonight.

Just a thought.
wonder also about the (2) outgoings which were supposedly close according to Myers. Not sure when this interview with Gray was recorded, but does not sound like close to leaving. Maupay maybe if the 2nd player coming in is a central striker. Holgate played on Wednesday / doesnt say a lot, but if he was close to leaving he would not play. Maybe Gomes / maybe Gbamin. PFFFFFFF

That is it he gets a new deal or we have sell him, we cant let him walk away for free. I kno i would feel better if we could bring in a quality cf would give me more hope this window
Not quite that simple, like.

In order to sell him, there needs to be actual interest in buying him. He’s the kind of player than not many decent clubs would queue up to sign for actual money, but that could probably command a decent signing on fee at a middling club on a free.

Agree is not simple but is something the club should be working on if he isnt getting a new deal. Is like gbamin, sandro and more who have just sat out deals here then left for nothing. Would just like to see us be a step ahead like the gray contract with an extra yr so that we had more on the clubs side to sell him
