I think he’s too slow for the wing to be honest.
He’s not very direct either. I can see him as a CAM because he does contribute defensively off the ball and will occasionally shoot outside the box.

Anything I have read about Villa and Gnonto is that we want both players and not just Gnonto if we can't get Diaby. I am still unsure if we will get Diaby, lots of media reporting that the Saudi club still wants him and will match any offer Villa makes and give silly wages. I suppose if Newcastle wants him on loan in Jan the PIF will just have to keep offering more money

He is a very good player, I am really surprised nobody has signed him. I think most clubs (bar the elite) in the PL would benefit from him in their team. Maybe he hasn't had an offer from Saudi and is hanging out in the hope that one comes in. He would be a cracking signing for a PL club though
