I may be wrong, but to my knowledge Bobble’s information may often come from the press team, who’d definitely not know about such things.
Agreed.
Most of what we hear from Bobble is already known.

I am not sure I remember any news that we heard from him before it was known publicly.

I think the amount of money we have to spend.. or not... will be known to very few.

And they will have the Declan Rice money as well.
However, I cannot see them paying 50m plus for a player they could have had for 30m 12 months ago.

Supply and demand has very little to do with 12 months ago !

I guess he has had a full season in PL, no major injury or attitude problems - had a few decent performances etc.

His risk factor for the PL (which we took) has now abated so his value goes up + inflation etc.

Depends what their alternatives are really - if they haven't any then get as much as we can obvs.

Note that we bought Fellaini for 21m euros, 15 years ago.

why? Hes still with that girl and theyre having a kid together. You dont think theres a high likelihood the events of the last couple of years wont have changed him?
Can't believe you're genuinely asking that question.

I think we'd be letting down our female fans by condoning such behaviour. That kind of behaviour is not okay and, regardless of what his partner has chosen to do, we should never even consider giving a tacit acceptance to behaviour like that.

I don't want to sound too optimistic but Brighton, for example, has shown that there are good quality players around the world who want to play in the Premiership. If you don't mind us being a stepping stone on the way to City or Liverpool then that's one route we could go down
Also we can start selling the stadium to players, do you want and come and play here

Exactly this. There are so many examples of young players coming to the PL for big money and totally failing to adjust, and either disappearing completely or having to be sold at a big loss. Onana wasn't totally brilliant last season, but he was good enough to show his adjustment to the PL league will be just fine and from where he is now he can and will improve greatly. That's taken a huge amount of risk out for any other PL club so with less risk the value goes up considerably. Whether West Ham pay it or not it's pretty normal that we should be looking to double our money.

Need to take away their access to media for that to stick,or hope they are amazingly thick.
I know what you mean but you could say that it would attract people with vision, willing to use their imagination, who look beyond the quotidian pap served up by the press and that appears on social media. Our players should feel like they are part of a project...not just the latest in a series of band aids trying to patch up near fatal wounds
