I spent the 1st half within earshot of an Evertonian half watching the game and uttering words like jigaboo and ranting to his mate how Jews owned 96 percent of media.
Then when I went out for a smoke at half time he collared me to talk about fluoride and how smoking isn't harmful because health is all about the PH level of your blood.
The slightly overweight, middle aged, purple haired bulb.
Point is stay vigilant Blues, there's the odd massive knob head amongst us.
2nd half was frown busting though right?
:)
Course knob head cheered every goal.

did you bychance ask him his usual drugs routine so I can stop taking those ones?

asking for a friend xx

He will be working day in, day out on shoring up the defence, and then he will worry about scoring the odd goal. It won't be pretty, but I think he'll keep you in the league.

If you thought Big Sam was a cautious manager though, you haven't seen anything yet!
Nice one mate. Here's hoping they get enough together for his treatment and it's such a success the lad's turning out for your team 15 years down the line.

Not getting it mate - teams don't finish in the top 8 ten years on the belt, play in cup finals and the champions league by putting ten men behind the ball. He might not be Guardiola but there's no way he solely "defended" his way to those league finishes with EFC. We might be a different story - for this year at least. Needs must and all that.

No he didn't solely defend his way to those finishes, but I went to many games at Goodison under his management and I can safely tell you that he is a very negative manager. That's not necessarily a bad thing, I would prefer his negativity to Martinez's so-called "positivity" (for example), but he does of course have his limitations - when we played a perceived "big team" or on a big stage (europe/FA cup final), we stuck everyone behind the ball, showed the opposition too much respect and bottled it.

I'm not being funny but in that time period, with your budget against that of the teams above you, how reasonable was it to "demand" more? It's not as easy as saying "let's just attack this lot", particularly when the opposition are better than you.
I genuinely believe the best managers see that when they have to. Mourinho has won countless trophies by spotting better teams, and making sure he's better organised than they are.

I think Moyes did a great job in his first 5 years, and the way he galvanized the squad to finish 4th after selling Rooney was little short of miraculous, but honestly, after that, it was about par. Yes he got us into Europe and made a cup final, but look at our overall record in all cup competitions during his time and you will understand why we eventually couldn't bear his tactics.
