Golf crowds are legitimately worse, especially American ones.

I do find Sarah Stirk comments about a level playing field mildly amusing given the shortest tee position is commonly known as and used by female golfers because they generally cannot drive as far as men.

Still a daft ‘joke’ to make in front of so many people / cameras, which was inevitably going produce negative press and an apology.

But F1 crowds don't really do anything, you don't notice them, the cars drown them out. They may as well not be there apart from the end of the race.

You can't avoid golf crowds, they are a constant part of the sport, every single shot there is some whopper trying to be hilarious.
