Teachers' Marbella trip cancelled

BBC NEWS | England | Staffordshire | Teachers' Marbella trip cancelled

They're a bit disappointed that their trip to Spain has been cancelled. Apparently it is was necessary to go on a teachers' jolly to Marbella for 4 days so they could discuss the new curriculum. Sadly, this means that they'll save the taxpayer a paltry 18k by discussing plans on site. :unsure:

How will they cope? :huh:

They should have known it would happen. I saw the head on tv say it was financially beneficial to go out there, but he didn't go into the specifics (how hard to say how much it cost and how much local facilities cost?). Instead the BBC did it for them and showed up the extra few thousand it would cost.

You'd think educated people would be a bit smarter huh.

When I was kid we made canoes and two teachers took us down the river Severn for a camping trip,we all had to chip in for food and transporting the canoes and gear to the river bank,the teachers also had to pay and To be honest dont think they should .through them we experienced the making of and use of the canoes and camping on the river banks, (y)

Surely they knew that people wouldnt be exactly receptive to the idea of teachers going for a two day jolly in Spain! Hard to think why they needed to go Spain in the first place. Whats wrong with sunny Stoke? :lol:

Doubt you'd be allowed to do that now with all the health & safety holes.
