There you go, pick the bones out that lot, 1 thing that hits you straight away is the amount of depth in the older squad!

Gosling is too much of a yard dog to even consider placing him in a team such as Everton's in 10 years time.

In a few years time Fellani leads the league in goals after his afro grows so large that the ball gets stuck in it allowing him to score by running straight into the goal. Millions of children grow Fellanifro's and lather them up with stickum so they could score just like thier hero. Other than that, I don't know.

the squad might have been deep, but, deeply [Poor language removed]..the midfield contingent looking at in now was a [Poor language removed] disgrace, the rest of the 98 squad doesnt look too bad.

Dacourt, Collins and Hutchison were the only midfielders worth a damn.

On paper the old squad looked good, but only on paper.

We certainly came a long way in the past ten years. Looking at that squad, I'm not surprised we were flirting with relegation on an almost yearly basis.:(

I wonder how many of us back then looked at the squad and thought players like Ball, Dunne, Oster, Branch, Cadamarteri, Jeffers etc. would be the mainstay in future teams though. Guys like Ball and Jeffers did look like they'd go to the top as well, but neither have. Tough business picking the cream of the young lads.

There y'go. I'm ITK in that I know that none of us know diddly.
