Got a soft spot for the land of the long black cloud. Being from the mainland, it's good to hop across the ditch and see some mountains do some extreme bungy once in a while. Our caterers are mad kiwis and they've been talking it up after the Serbia game, I just remind them about the smapping Cahill and Grella gave Bertos the other week and it shuts em up.

I'm hoping the kiwis do well, their second world cup and getting a result in any of them would be a boon for the sport over there, and it's flow on effects into our own national comp.

America's other team!! Something like 8 kiwi's are either MLS, USSF Div2, ex-MLS or ex-lower division or US college. Unfortunately, only one of them - Nelsen - went on to bigger and better things and stuck.

You poms scagged it big time and I don't see the Kilt wearers, Tom Jones Knicker sniffers and Guinness lovers anywhere other than on their holidays. Maybe joining all the countries together and calling yourself 'TEAM GB' you'd have a semi decent crack at winning the thing.

And don't get me started on the US. If any one team has been given an easier ride to the WC I'd like to see it. Did they have to play Uruguay over two legs after winning their confederation? No, they get like four spots with only five teams playing in Concacaf. What a joke. Look out if Canada put a half decent side out. LA Galaxy couldnt even beat Sydney FC with Donovan AND Beckham in the team.
