Why? I dont get what the problem is?

The guy has only just got out of prison, and the book is already on the shelf?
For a guy who was possibly/probably/more than likely guilty as charged, an awful lot of support seems to have been given to him. Life in prison couldn't have been that bad if he has already completed a book, guilty or not guilty.

Had the book included life on the outside and the dealings with the general concensus of the public etc, upon his release, it might have been a more interesting read.

But then he could be 100% innocent. (n)

Michael Sheilds: My Story. That'll be a rivetting read...

'My names Michael, I was born in 1987....I went to watch Liverpool in a EC Final...I (*allegedly*) smashed a paving slab over some Bulgarian lads head...I was convicted and then let out thanks to the politics of the mob...The end'.

'My names Michael, I was born in 1987....I went to watch Liverpool in a EC Final...It changed my life. I was asked by the British Intelegance Services if I could help them out in a matter of state security. They took me to a secret island where I was waited on hand and foot by scantily clad maidens who gave me everything I wanted. While I was hidden away a secret agent, who happens to look exactly like me, spent some time in a Bulgarian prison. His mission was to infiltrate a sinister criminal gang operating inside the prision. They were thought to be planning a crime against our country that would change our way of life forever.

The agents mission was a success. I cannot give any details away as it may compromise my knighthood. He is now back living under cover, our nation is once again safe.'

my thanks also go out to mr. rushdie for writing my memoirs, and jack straw for keeping me in weed via his son.
oh and to the waiter.... yer ma.

'My name's Michael. I was born in 1987, I went to watch Liverpool in the EC Final, but was then convicted of a crime I didn't commit by a tinpot government even though there was no CCTV evidence, and eyewitnesses had placed me inside my hotel room at the time, and even though another man signed a confession. Now that I have been released, the only people who still believe I was guilty and are annoyed are the bitterest of Evertonians who can't stomach the fact that they may have been in the wrong when they sang 'Michael Shields how wide is your arse' with the other inbred ****s.

Sorry huh?

lol Neo, clearly some people think hes innocent, some think hes guilty. After watching that Docu that was on the tele last year I was crying for "FREE MICHAEL SHIELDS", but after reading and watching other things im not totally convinced.

The only really fact is that he was found guilty and hes been given a Royal Pardon, I would hate to be the next British person who gets in trouble in Bulgaria.

I've got a book coming out.

It's called "Out In The Cold" and it's my first hand account of when I was exiled to Kipper and NSNO. Dark days. Very dark days.
