The argument against Benitez is irrational

Come on, let's face it, point 8 of 'the argument against Benitez':

'8. I can't stand the thought of him being in charge of our club.'

....is clearly people's main reason for not wanting him - the fact that he managed Liverpool

But, if people can put emotion to one side, there are a lot of positives about the guy - his experience, achievements, he likes living in the area which wouldn't be the case for all managers. He did a good job at Newcastle. He's available, which he wasn't last time around

Fans being opposed to this for emotional reasons shouldn't be something that the board should need to be factoring in

Fans would be helping the board by getting positive about it!

Nuno lacks the top of the table experience and would bring in a load of Portuguese players. Conte from his track record would perhaps only last a year or two and could have his head turned like Ancelotti did....

What on earth is going on here?

Why do people keep telling me that I need to accept Benitez like there are no other managers on the planet.

Sod it, only a bad meff would want Benitez here. I have tried to straddle the fence somewhat by pointing out the reasons why it would be a shockingly bad appointment but now I am just going to start shouting at people.
