For me they have, although they revisit regularly...

I know someone that have had to have them surgically removed....they must have had a bad, bad bunch.

Get a mirror. Get your mate to examine himself in a peculiar position. If it's purple it's ok, but it will be soothing (and possibly quite pleasurable) to apply cream using your middle finger (or your mates).
