Well this sounds awful

Influencers and former professional footballers have teamed up to launch UK and American versions of Baller League in 2025.

The six-a-side format was set up in Germany by entrepreneur Felix Starck alongside footballers Mats Hummels and Lukas Podolski, and is now heading to the UK and US.

KSI, who has 24.8 million YouTube subscribers, will be president of the UK version with streamer IShowSpeed named as president of the American league.

Football legends Gary Lineker, John Terry and Luis Figo have been lined up as team managers, while Micah Richards, Alan Shearer, Freddie Ljungberg, Jens Lehmann and Robert Pires have also been signed up as coaches.

Marketed the right way and given the right sort of direction this could work.

What the score with the players? Is it going to be like the old players and d list celebrity's all playing like socceraid on energy drink prime!

Could be a good idea to showcase young 16-25 year old amateurs though, could even give some a gateway into the game.

Kids now are all about short clips, tricks and highlight reels, a lot of them don't have the attention span for 90 minute games so something like this could blow up.

The name alone means I'm not interested. Cringe worthy.

I genuinely couldn’t imagine how bereft of anything somebody would have to be to tune in and watch stuff like this. And yet absolutely every facet of media is going this way so people must gladly watch and enjoy it. The human race is utterly cooked.

Won't hold a candle to the masters football.

But then again not enough tekkers and multi ball with flashing lights for the yoofs.

They'll make a mint from kids parents though

Just yet another vehicle for some execs to collect more money off the simple minded. Ya don't have to pay or watch. I certainly won't.

The only negatives are 1. It floods your Internet stream with chat about it / adverts; 2. It starts to take over conventional football in the popular eye ... but that's dead to me anyway.

A bit like the new flashy formats in cricket for those without an attention span. Give me test matches, 50 over matches at a push, or nothing.

Their 11 a side charity matches sell out stadiums, 30-40k.

Sad thing is vast majority of the people there wouldn't actually got to a local ground to financial support them.
