Now that we can finally put the relegation worries behind us, it’s time to return to what Evertonians excel at: nominating one of the club’s playing staff as the target of our collective ire.
It’s been an eternity since we’ve been able to focus our collective anger on a single player. I fear we’re at risk of hating them all (except, perhaps, Branners, Illy, Beto, and Alcaraz), and that simply isn’t the Evertonian way.
I propose we seize this opportunity during the EPL break to settle on one or perhaps two players that we can fully embrace booing and generally expressing our disapproval of.
