The collective mentality

Losing mentality at the club. Just seeps in and impacts when you're struggling in games.

However today was not the case given how comfortable it was for 85 minutes.

My big concern from today is even in the poor last 30 months the team has generally been good at seeing out games at Goodison it's been leading 1 or 2 nil. Generally the big problems in home games come when going a goal down.

The game management once it went to 2-1 was criminal so that will unnerve the crowd in future home games when it happens again.

Badly need Branthwaite fit for Leicester-Palace as the unit simply wouldn't be that bad with him in it, we had enough evidence of this last season.

There are no consequences for failure. You can play terrible and continue to be selected for years. Nothing will get better because there is no incentive to get better.

There will be players dropped from this. Mangala will come straight in you suspect for someone. Problem is the players dropped are usually the young ones who fans can get behind.

Dixon could've been trusted today to start for example but too often Dyche plays young players in tough away games seemingly to just point out to his press mates that's why they're not good enough.

Would hate to see Tim dropped after this as he was really good again for 75 minutes and I love how positive he is when he receives the ball. Need more of those players in this squad.

Never mind Branthwaite, O'Brien should have started this season and not Keane.

It matters not what Keane does in training and pre-season as he is a complete liability in real games. Worse still, Keane's influence on the rest of the team is corrosive and should not get another game.

So we have three straight loses and a collective ten goals conceded. Where does Dyche believe the problem lies, if he really can't see where the problem lies then I'll give him a clue. Today there was one difference in the back four from last season (a season where we had the fourth best defensive record) - Keane. It's not just what he does and doesn't do but the impact on the rest of the side.

Not defending the manager, the mentality here hasn’t been a good one for years and years.

What kind of club with any aspirations says “expected defeats”. That’s just one example.

It’s horrible to see how small time we are lauding bang average signings as greatness.
