Which either shows what a good job Moyes/Kenwright did, or what a rubbish job Moshiri is doing, probably both
Martinez would've lasted longer if not for his ridiculous insistence that awful results and performances were phenomenal and real quality.Any number of things - mistakes just keep repeating themselves.
1. Martinez wasn't that bad (he wasn't brilliant either) but, firstly, like most appointments pre-Carlo, he was a gamble, probably a relatively cheap one at that. Trouble is we have ghosts to exorcise - Kendall (manager/player) and Ball, Harvey.. That Lot over the Park. In the end he failed to a degree and the fans got very vocal. Season 1 was excellent, 2 was dismal league wise (though Europe was good) and 3 was recovering until it all went pear shaped around February.
Koeman was a terrible appointment - he is self-absorbed and, frankly, in love with another club
Allardyce - embarrassing.
Silva - another insane gamble
And we're just a soft touch for players, we don't play on the front foot, we pass it back, we sit on 1-0 leads, we are frightened of that lot over the park.. I could go on but for now at least we've won a game..
Perhaps it's also that we have a mentality that freezes at the crucial moment. Remember how bad City used to be - and still were to an extent with Hughes, Eriksson as managers.
And his insistence on telling us players like Aidan Mcgeady were phenomenal also.Martinez would've lasted longer if not for his ridiculous insistence that awful results and performances were phenomenal and real quality.
at least under Moyes reign we had our balls tickled a few times, with a 4th, 2 x 5th and a couple of 6th places.
After Martinez’s first season the bad decline of mid table finishes started again. So I blame Martinez for starting the journey back into nothingness, the other managers have simply followed suit.
Yes I get that, certainly not City, Leicester debatable, though certainly not in the year they won it.There were less teams challenging for those top places, Moyes would not be consistently finishing above City and Leicester now.
Years of under spending and being left behind. So much so that even Spurs and Leicester have now surpassed us. It will take a good few transfer windows yet imo esp after the Koeman and Walsh disastersAverage position under all managers including Moyes has been roughly 8th.
We are VERY consistent in that respect. The club eventually reverts to that position, almost regardless of cash spent.
Doesn't even allow to choose multiple options. What a stupid poll
