Thought I would open a thread on the Trilogy. Not a trilogy. The Trilogy.

Favourite hit and why? Just to start us off.

Mine? Too many too mention, but I do love the one when Young vito (De Niro) is stalking The Black Hand. I love the artistry of the cinematography and the colours of the set. The music, and the final shot for the hit.

when Vito (Robert De Niro) goes back to Sicily and kills Don Ciccio (I think thats what he was called anyway)

Or Moe Greene through the eye

Class films... well the first 2 were anyway

Very good.

Yes the third one was kind of lost in the moment, although it still did serve a purpose, and is a very good film, just not an awesome one.

How about when Fredo gets killed by Rocco, the sheer thought of doing that was mind blowing. Especially when you see Michael's head drop on the sound of the gunshot.

Yeah I love the bit right before, where he forgives Fredo, but then looks across to Al Neri

Hyman Roth is also very well done, "If one thing in this life is certain..."

Gonna have to watch them again, its been way too long.. must admit I've only watched the third one once or twice will give it another go

I finally got them all on DVD, some good extras.

Did Hyman Roth get killed? Oh yeah, it was when he was coming into the airport wasn't he?

Another reason to watch the third is to listen to "Cavalerria Rusticana" at the very end, without a shadow of a doubt the most beautiful piece of music ever written.

#1; Luca Brassi sleeps with the fishes ; Solozzo the Turk , makes his move .
#2;Sonny at the Toll-Booth . Connie suckered to fuk, and took a hiding to boot !!
#3; Captain McLuskey in the Restaurant , ( with Solozzo. )
Micheal makes HIS move .
Badda-Bing !!

me and the mrs have to watch the trilogy at least once a month.
"our true enemy has yet to reveal itself"

another decent killing is vincenzo doin joey szasar at the holy parade. what am i saying there all fookin great.

"it was barzini all along, but i didn't know it until this day"
"what about tataglia?"
"tataglia's a pimp"

vito is a legend.

Best scene in the film is when Michael Corleone is hiding out in Sicily and meets the beautiful Apollonia Vitelli, she is absolutely stunning!!

Young Peter Clemenza, now he's the Boy.
