the death of a label

Reidy's Bottle Of Grecian

The Unobstructed View
so you've gone out and bought a nice expensive coat/shirt/t-shirt etc etc everyone comments at how smart it is, and more importantly it does its job.
then it goes through the following 3 stages.

lids

kids

mothers of little kids

first the label gets hijacked by the lids on the street corners with their hands down their kecks.
then it's seen on every schoolkid in the region.
then finally at the primary school gate it is plastered all over the hun brigade with their ugg boots and hair extensions.

the death of the label in 3 easy defined steps. of course along the way, countless snides will be touted around which are all "genuine, a container got robbed. no deffo not fake" then your nice garment will stay in the wardrobe unless you can get a '70's style "Everton rule o.k." patch to cover up the embarrassing moniker on your chest/shoulder.
the school gate is now awash with "the north face" jackets, uggs, leggings(size10 should be the maximum size allowed and anything bigger punishable by law), nail jobs, extensions. every 'mar at the gate has the same label visible. the brand is now dead.

The North Face
r.i.p.

Funny you should mention that, mate. Every fecker in Ferderikshavn wears North Face. Glad that I've not got one now. I'm also no longer wearing my Converse pumps since every 14 year old here has a pair. This is despite the fact that I've worn Converse for 20 odd years.

Moral of the story is not to buy labels.

SSSShhhhhhhh......

What ever you do neb, dont ever mention that again. I'll pretend i never saw it!!

[Poor language removed] it...

BAD HIM D/D!!

Converse is the best, lad. :P They look cool and age into tatty but great looking footwear that hangs from your feet. They look especially good with a suit and t-shirt on. But then I always had a knack for looking pretty great :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

When I was a kid I used to go in for all the Adidas and Nike crap. I was the first person in the UK to own Adidas Olympus which I purchased in Hamburg, Germany. I was that unique that kids were coming up to me on the street asking where I got my trainees!
