Andy Gray on ESPN  I don't get to listen to the [Poor language removed] he spouts on Sky, but he is doing a good job today going on about the Croatian goal

Aye, the BBC HD service over here are showing the games. They never usually show anything worth watching in HD so this is a welcome exception (y)

He pretty much went on a 10 minute tirade about the goal in question. Rather amusing.

I actually like that ESPN hired Andy Gray to do studio work.

Better than some of the alternatives they could have brought in.

IM thinking of getting a HD tv are they worth it(y)

The quality is superb, compared to the BBC service we get through the normal digital (which is shocking!) it's a different world.

Depends what deal you can get really, we wanted to get Sky Plus but got a deal with the TV we bought which meant it was only slightly more expensive to go one better and get Sky HD. So for us it's deffo been worth it. Sky sports show all the live football and cricket in HD which is really good.

Not sure about this HD set top box thing though, not really looked into the prices or anything. What I would say with that though is that the BBC (as yet) don't show a great deal in HD. All the Euro 08 matches are which is a bonus, but aside from that they hardly show anything. They didn't even have the England v USA match in HD  But am sure they'll start to improve in the next year or so (y) Sky HD is quality though :D

The only time I get to enjoy HD football is when ESPN or ABC televise it. Fox Soccer Channel and GOLTV don't broadcast in HDTV yet(n).

Amen brother.

By the way, be sure to catch the Revolution at the Dynamo tonight at 8:30pm CST on ESPN (or ESPN2..whichever channel they put it on).

We owe 'em after losing at their place 3-0 earlier in the year.

Neither does Setanta but you have to think they will start to broadcast that way in the next few years. Also HDnet broadcasts some MLS games on the dish in HD.
