The Everton Board Thread 2014/15

Is it time for change?

  • I'm happy with the way thing are. Kenwright and the Board should stay.

  • Kenwright and the board need to go. We need change.

Lerner bought Villa for £55m in September 2006 and his financial outlay on the club is estimated at around £300 million.

Kenwrong and his cronies paid 20m and the financial outlay on the club is estimated at around £000000000000000 million and 00000000000000p.

But hey, #ALWNV

No way. He's taken more out than he's put in. Its just not seen.

Serious question. Where is the Blue Union? Are they still around? I think the timing may be right for them about now.

The problem is, what can we do as fans? Having been on the forums for over ten years, I've seen millions of these discussions over and over again. What has changed? Nothing. I want to see the back of the current set up as much as anyone. We have one of the most lethargic board of directors that have been sleeping ever since Kenwright took over from Johnson. Not even so much as new toilets in the Street End. We did get some TVs mind.

Anyway, out of the Premier League teams- who has actually seen a change in ownership because of fan pressure? The closest I guess you could say is them over the park, but I think in their case Hicks and Gillette were always on borrowed time? Remember United fans and their uproar and rioting when the Glazers came in? They're still there. I'm sure Lerner leaving Villa isn't down to fan pressure either- it's because he realised there's not an easy buck in football.

So where does that leave us? Do we boycott the match like Newcastle fans (that's going well for them.) Do we wave some pseudo- religious banners like them across the park? Do we riot like United fans? I don't know. Genuine question, because I can't think of an answer to bring change about.

As long as Kenwright wants in, he'll be there. The one thing the board have got is a good way of keeping local press in line, and pandering to the 'little old Everton' line we've 'enjoyed' ever since the 80s.

For all his faults and there are many, Bill Kenwright is not Mike Ashley, nor is he Hicks and Gillette, "We" wouldnt need to try as hard.

Again a serious question to do what? I want us to have a rich owner as much as anyone ,but what could Blue Union do about that. I believe unless the new owners where Billionaire we are better off with Bill. Most people on this forum will disagree but the forums all about different opinions.

Agree he's no Ashley/ Hicks/Gillette. What would it take though? Another go from the Blue Union or just a more widespread show of disapproval at the match? They survived the Kirkby fiasco, got rid of EGMs, have hired from within (admittedly lots of clubs/ companies do this) and have generally been trying to keep everything under wraps. Why would it be any different today than to ten years ago?

Honestly right, hand on heart, it takes a buyer at the right price.

It scares me how bad our books must be.

No Damo, he freaking hasnt.

Perhaps not. But you can't deny he's enjoyed the perks during his over-extended tenure - regardless of if you count them in lieu of a wage or not.

IF/when he sells up (When? Errrrr.......) he'll still have had a bloody good screw out of his shares in terms of his 'representation'.

If he paid 55m and has invested 300m and sells for 150m, im sorry but I honestly dont see the value?
