The Everton Board Thread 2014/15

Is it time for change?

  • I'm happy with the way thing are. Kenwright and the Board should stay.

  • Kenwright and the board need to go. We need change.

150mil for villa how much do you think kenwright wants for us even tho we are not officially up for sale .
I say get the Americans to broker a deal we would be sold in no time

Owning a Premiership Club isnt like anyother business, as Mr Lerner has just found out.

History is littered with businessman who have lost money.

Hit the nail on the head there.

Businessmen make mistakes.
Good businessmen acknowledge their mistakes, take the hit rather than "waiting to get their money back", and move on.

Why sell at a loss ?
Because there's a better opportunity to use that cash somewhere else.

Same here mate...heard a lot of good things about WHP Joe Anderson really pushing it,heard there where backers lined up . Naming rights were almost sorted
Plans were more than just outlined ,the past few months have gone very quiet . Something has gone terribly wrong if this is shelved.
But on the other hand I'm being told there are interested buyers coming forward ,so maybe if the club is sold they have their own ideas.
Same here I wont be slagging Bill off ,but still have serious concerns about his fellow board members.

These interested buyers you talk of, where has this come from.

With the new TV deals there has never been a better time to buy a Premiership team. If he wanted to sell then he could do

I'll cut straight to the point.

If Villa can be bought and sold twice in the past 10 years and we can't we should be asking questions.

Nothing to do with stadiums or this or what or any of that bullocks. simply put the board is a joke if they peddle the up for sale or investor sales pitch at season renewal time,

its all clockwork and its all predictable. Nothing changes yet we all believe it will. Find it odd when they are selling season tickets martinez makes our transfer policy sound good? I heard that before, Moyes. We ended up loaning drenthe and selling half the squad that summer as well.

nothing will change, none of the fans will ask questions to their faces and we can still enjoy the odd bit of hope we get thrown all because the club is being run by a blue.

Our previous Commercial Director Dave Biggar left a while back.

Does anyone know if the club replaced him?

I've just received a private message on another channel reliably informing me the role has been merged with Director of Comms.

A tad surprised, Id have thought they'd want an out and out, dedicated commercial director...

But then, what do I know - I'm sure Robert Elstone knows the score...

Let us be clear BK and the others do not want to sell. The only time they would let go would be someone said here's 300 mill, then I think you might see something happen. Even so BK would try to fix it so that he could stay on as a figurehead chairman.

Do not hold your breath though, IMO irrespective of what BK has said in the past, I do not believe the for sale sign is up anywhere.

I'd kill for an owner like Mark Cuban. The man is a complete and total dolt at times, but he wants to win. At any cost and all the time. I'd rather have the owner be a bit of a clown and have a desire to win than the hermit board running the show.

Richard Kenyon took up the role of Marketing and Communication... I imagine Marketing is tied up with Commercial activities.
