The Everton Board Thread

Yup. One of the lads I work with is an Arsenal fan. Says they have only just started to recover from his mismanagement of their transfers. He spent vast amounts of money on mediocre players referred to him by Joorabchian. We are absolutely finished if we appoint this man
If he does come on board then for me it's confirmation that the people running our club are corrupt and not just incompetent.

According to the media Sheikh Jassim is pulling out of the deal for taking over the Mancs and ‘will look elsewhere’. Surely Blue Bill if he has any hope of leaving with credit would be trying to get a deal done for a takeover, this Sheikh could get us for a tenth of what United would cost and with the new stadium close to finish has to be an attractive prospect?

With all the corruption in the game I’d welcome a Sheikh to get us back up there

I see a lot about people saying ex players should come out and slate the board which of course I agree with.

What have the players got to be scared about? Moshiri would likely come out and claim the players mother was a satanic Nazi who sacrifices puppies to Cthulhu and they get a nice little out of court settlement. Or the board as a whole would claim they were all 360-no scope-choke slammed by the player which once again be a nice little payout on top of being able to slate the lot of them.

Seems like a win win to me

It's got absolutely nothing to do with 'Blue Bill.' He has zero control over who is the next majority shareholder in Everton.

MSP have Moshiri over a barrel here.

Moshiri can't approach Shk Jassim due to the exclusivity agreement he has with MSP.

If MSP wanted to, they could show a bit of leg to Shk Jassim and invite him to invest into the fund with view to a buy out later. But that's about it.

They're unwilling to break ranks with Sharp.

Southall in particular has fallen silent on the that.

Sharp was there for years getting a nice earner and doing f.a. for the club oher than back Kenwright up.

The danger was always that Moshiri would replace incompetence with outright corruption. The Sack The Board campaign wasn’t wrong but it didn’t go far enough. Moshiri and his cronies are the poison in this club.
The issue is we have not been as clever (corrupt) as others because of incompetence. The EPL is no where near being principled entity.
Many will regret not letting the European super leave happen.

From what I understand, a lot of these Venture Capitalist lot are already funded by the Middle East through a variety of offshore and very opaic shell companies.

I strongly suspect there is a lot of ME money swirling around MSP

Yeah, they already have a pre-existing relationship with Bahrain.

I suspect they'll continue with relatively small investors into the Everton fund, then look to exit with a nice profit for everyone in about 5 years.

Be Suprised if it that long, once the stadium built and IF we are still in the PL they Will sell then

Was a very interesting piece by Tom Harrison in Saturdays Times sports section on the growing tentacles of ME money across every sport. Saudi are leading the charge as they are desperate for football WC for 2030 and the Olympics
Seems that the ME kingdoms have decided that sport is as good a way as any to bolster their reputations before oil runs out

They may well do, but if they think they can squeeze a bit more out down the line by doing more tweaks here and there, they will hold on.

I'm not sure Saudi will get the 2030 WC, the idea behind the bid seems a bit flake for now.

They'll be better off waiting a while longer.
