When other clubs are going for £3b and the prospect of the league's revenue will only grow over time it's very cheap. Also it's not £1b to buy us, it's half a billion to buy us and then another half to build a stadium which they will own and will increase the value of the club exponentially on it's own. If they bought us and built the stadium they'd have spent £1b, let's say they tried to make us one of the best in the world and spent another billion in the decade following, they'd then have an asset they spent £2b on which would then be worth far more than that, all the while sky rocketing tv and sponsorship revenue would be offsetting that spend.

Football clubs are a bad investment, successful football clubs are an incredible investment. There's a difference. I suspect these lot will be aiming to make us the latter.

Chelsea are a huge global brand based on the sole investment of Roman Abramovich. £3billion was to clear the debt and investment he put in.

£500million to buy us makes us the 4th most expensive club acquisition in world football (I believe) after Chelsea, United, Arsenal - all 4 have bigger fanbases and global reach than we do. We're not at their level for a new owner to think we'll turn around their investment any time soon.

We'll be in a long haul until the stadium is done.

Why not? You would have nothing to worry about surely until something bad actually happened even if they did look rather sinister.

Thats your current mentality to these carpetbaggers mate. Why take a risk on the grounds of "wait and see" when they look suspect as?
They don’t though? It’s wild eyed speculation that they’re gonna be bad, no one knows if they are or not but we do know what we are and have been getting from Moshiri for the past 6 years and it’s only going one way unless things change, can you honestly hand on heart say our financials will be better if we keep him for another 2-3 years?

Absolutely. Which goes to the point...all for a takeover.

But the people saying "Well, at least we'll be ran like a business" generally means football comes 2nd.

Football isn't a business, its an entertainment industry. Once the business takes precedence over what happens on the field...fans will get upset.
Unfortunately mate football has become secondary to business since 1992, as much as we all want to believe it is just entertainment, it isnt, its a business.

Its an entertainment business for the fans but for owners/players/agents/chairman its all about the money, nothing more nothing less, just money!

Right now we don't have money, we don't have entertainment, we don't have success, we don't have the club in the correct hands.

So where's the money coming from then to plough £1 billion for the shares, BMD build and then on top money for transfers?

Do you let a random stranger come sleep in your house because you dont know if he's going to bash you over the head with a clawhammer in your sleep or not until it actually happens?
you do know what Due Diligence is right oh and Fit and Proper test.

I'm not advocating by the way, just saying, that BK aside getting conned by a bedsit bum all those years ago, People tend to have to prove stuff these days, well, well in advance!

But hey lets compare Apples and Chickens(Random Stranger synopsis!!) to see if you can make yourself look any more idiotic after the pinning your flag to the Benitez mast!

Well yeah that'd make sense why we'd be the 4th biggest sale. What other clubs generally get sold? Mostly those in financial crisis or poor clubs because football clubs are so valuable. We're objectively probably one of the top 8 biggest clubs in England (at least) meaning by proxy we're probably one of the top 25 ish clubs in the world in terms of value. Now in terms of that if any other team above us were getting sold outright then they'd probably be sold for more than we are, they're just not for sale.

Newcastle were sold for £300m and they're a nothing club, who were set for another relegation before they were bought, this year was amongst our worst ever seasons and it was still not near theirs. It's not at all inconvincible that we're worth considerably more than they are, especially considering Ashley probably could've gotten more for them but decided to cash out without much fuss, he was also very vocally selling the club, Moshiri might be doing that privately but publicly he's "committed" meaning that a good offer has to be made.

Absolutely in terms of money involved. But the bottom line does still end what happens on the pitch

And the owners that treat club's like a yacht tend to be more successful that the ones that see it as a asset to make money.

So the same fans who call Moshiri and Kenwright clueless have faith in them doing effective due diligence on this group? ?‍♂️

The Fit and Proper test isn't fit for purpose - ask Burnley fans who's own money was used against them for their Yank owners to buy them without the PL interfering or objecting.

The sooner people just stop trying to predict the future the better imo.

We have observable factual evidence to point to over the past 6 years that show us which way we’re going under our current owner. These doom mongers have absolutely nothing other than “just got a feeling bro”. That doesn’t qualify as anything substantial unfortunately lads.

That's fair enough mate

If it does go tits up though will you have the courtesy to admit the concerns were valid?

I'll be happy to admit I was wrong if they do a good job for instance
