The Everton Board Thread

Lukaku: £75 millions
Stones: £50 millions
Richarlison: £50 millions
Gana: £30 millions
Digne: £25 millions
Lookman: £20 millions
Barkley: £15 millions
Vlasic: £12 millions
Onyekuru: £7 millions

Thats just under Sir Farhads tenure - under Kenwrong we sold Rooney, Lescott, Arteta, Fellaini etc.

Utd can spend £250 millions in one window and not have to sell a single player with or without CL football thats how uneven the PL is now.
That’s not Manchester United’s problem that they were ran like a business at the inception of the PL and capitalised on every revenue making opurtuninity while our chair was busy telling porkies and bring out the fortress sport lie to keep him with his train set. Them outgoings are what, circa 250m in…. Here is our incomings in the last 6 seasons. Appalling on every level.

There is no question that we've recruited awfully these past few years - but flip the coin and see the likes of Brighton recruit well and still have no sniff of success or european togger.

Fans of clubs like us and the other 14 outside the Sky 6 who self loathe because we spend a few quid now and again and dare have some ambishun to be more than just make up the numbers are the problem in modern football my friend.

Its like the average joe on the street feeling guilty for buying a new watch during a recession and being told to tighten their belt by the same bankers and wealthy who are throwing thousands around.

Makes me sick that “””Evertonians””” will actually sit there and defend this club and act like it isn’t totally our own fault that we’re in the position we’re in. Imagine trying to pull a hard luck story when you look at that list of signings. Worst run club in the country by an absolute mile.

Let’s not act the victim here, Everton were one of the traditional big five at the time who pushed for the inception of the premier league. We just had a board who had no idea how to run a business, no clue how to monetise the opportunity they had been given. And now it’s too late.

As for the Brighton comparison, they were in the bottom tier of English football not long ago with no ground and staring not existing right in the face. The fact they are were they are is a credit to them and, whilst they recruit well, just staying in the division is their aim ultimately. We’re Everton mate, a supposed giant of the English game and once revered around the world. We are where we are because of 30 years of chronic mismanagement and nobody will convince me otherwise. Remember it wasn’t always like this, in the 60s we were the equivalent of City and United, the Mersey Millionaires. John Moores would be spinning in his grave at that fat oaf who runs us now. Self pity will get us nowhere.

Who is playing the victim exactly ? I'm simply pointing oot the hypocrisy in our league/rules whilst others just clap like seals about it.

Utd are a perfect example - they've pissed just as much money up the wall as we have in recent years -

£90 millions Pogba
£85 millions Maguire
£75 millions Lukaku
£73 millions Sancho
£50 Millions Fred

They're just the players that come to mind. The difference is they can still go oot and spend another £90 millions on Antony, £65 Millions on Fernandes, £50 millions on Casamerio, £50 millions on Varane, pay Ronaldo and Cavani 300k+ a week contracts to make up for their mistakes and stop any potential relegation fears.

They dont have to sell their top players or restricted to spending £1.7 millions in one summer or cut the wage bill like we have to do.

We've made mistakes but as owner of this club Moshiri should be allowed to atone for his error and have gone oot and given Thelwell/Lampard £100 millions to bring in 2-3 attacking players this summer if we were playing a fair game but we aren't hence why its the same teams in the CL every season.

So whilst its our own fault we're 17th lets not pretend the deck is shuffled fairly.
