The Final from Hell

So today AEK Athens played Olympiakos in the Greek cup Final.

AEK take a 2-0 lead into HT, on 47th minutes Matt Derbyshire, on loan from Blackburn gives his team a lifeline. 70th minute its 2-2, in the 90th minute AEk score what you would imagine is a winning goal, not to be, a few seconds later Derbyshire has scored an unlikey equaliser. 3-3 and a red card for an AEK player.

So into ET, Olympiakos make the extra man pay and in the 102nd minute L. Galletti gives his team the lead for the 1st time and is sent off. 2 minutes later his team mate L. Panagapoulos joins him and its 10 vs 9, 4-3 for Olymp. AEK score in the 107th and after another 13minutes the game enters a penalty shootout.

The penalty shoot-out ends 14 - 15 in favour of Olympiakos.

I was watching it, in bar full of Greeks, in Greece funny enough.

There was 34 penalties took in total. It was mad, most AEK and Olympiacos fans gave up being animated after the first fifteen pens and just started laughing.

Was rooting for AEK like. Boss game though.
