I was in Rome a few years back and was surprised just how active/desperate they were at all key tourist sites to sell tickets to watch Roma.

Just had a nose at their average attendances - it was half their capacity when I was there. Never selling out. So not surprised they were desperately trying to fill seats.

Friedkins have done well to increase that attendance - it's a remarkable uplift, really?

Yep, went to the Rome derby sept 2018, and it was only 2/3 full at best. Like you said, they also had ticket stands all over the city centre trying to flog cheap tickets for a mid week champs league game.

That's the kind of thing you can do in huge tourist cities like Rome. It's the same in London - you can buy tickets to a West Ham game in Leicester Square when you can't get into Les Mis.

Turnover? That doesn't tell us much in terms of prestige. For example, Newcastle's turnover is way more than that taken in by Seville, but Newcastle have won nothing and done nothing for 55 years while Seville have won 2 Spanish Cups and 7 Europa League trophies in the last 20 years.

If those two were in a multi-club organisation no one would consider Newcastle as overshadowing Seville; the other way round more likely.

You ever think maybe the issue is how you're framing this takeover maybe instead of one club overshadowing the other (seems to be a commonly used word by yourself, was it on your word of the day calender?) Both clubs can operate in symbiosis where both clubs are prized and used to benefit each other rather than one club be peripheral

Eclipse us ? So do most teams over the last decade, we've been hopeless Dave, have you got eyes. This is why we are hopefully getting new progressive owners, owners with business sense who can grow us commercially were we are dwarfed by our peers. Owners who will please God, get professionals in to run us properly. You know everything you are arguing against as usual and as usual being you're contrarian petty self. But I know this message will go unheeded as you're ego won't entertain the thought you could be wrong, even if it gives a chance that Everton could by successful again, you would rather they weren't so you could tell everybody..Look I'm right, I told you so ! No. My preferred word fr what's happening is 'subsumed'.

As to your point: no, take a look at the other multi-club groups - you;ll see a very clear pecking order there.

It's only natural that one club will be seen and presented as a 'flagship'.
