The more I read about Friedkin, the more I'm terrified by him. Not that he's "bad" per se, but that he's a stunt pilot who's been in movies and a whole bunch of other things that makes me think he'll buy the club and immediately die in a fiery crash.
Already posted a while back if he takes over I can see him crashing into the new stadium during the opening ceremony while flying his plane over with a banner saying ‘Sniff it koppites’
The most ‘Everton that’ event ever.

Multi-club models should not be allowed and I'd rather we weren't part of one.
In a perfect world, I would agree, but I've come to terms with it. This isn't an effort to try to dissuade you from your opinion. I just believe that the future of the sport is, unfortunately, going to be one of hyper commercialization and big conglomerate owners that suck up all of the top clubs. At least Friedkin seems to be your standard billionaire (even slightly more positive as he has some wildlife conservation in his portfolio) and not the head-chopping kind.

We're in the position that we're in, as a club, because certain past owners refused to modernize with the rise of the Prem. If Multi-club models are the future, at least we're somewhat ahead of/keeping up with that trend and we'd be owned by a decent option with a respectable sister club.

Any potential new owner could do any number of nefarious things. As far as I know, there is no suggestion from this guy's past dealings that he is going to do us dirty?

There seems to be this sentiment that only Super Blue owners will do, which is mad considering the last one of those we had recently died and he is still getting absolute dog's abuse.
They don't need to be nefariously minded, they just need to see us as a commodity to fix up and sell on at a quick profit. Any half proficient billionaire worth his salt could scoop up the TV rights for a few years, flog the stadium and then cash in,we need stability and there's no guarantee that any of the presently interested parties are looking to commit long term as you say being a Blue makes no difference.

You're 100% correct mate.

It's the way the game is going and in a business sense it's good that we're a part of it whilst it's still relatively new in this country.

I just don't like it, but in terms of the modern game, it's hardly the biggest of issues.

I keep hearing reports that say the deal is done, but the exclusivity agreement hasn’t even been signed right? Or am I missing something

There are no guarantees in life beyond a certain death. There is risk in every option we face and every decision we take. Friedkin is arguably the party with the most track record and deepest pockets bidding for us. The least uncertain option available. There are no angelic Socialist Evertonian billionaires waiting in the wings so if Friedkin does not meet your risk appetite who or what will?
