I would say that its only concerning if you view the ultras as rational reasonable people who have a good grasp of things.

Crazy people being upset is not a new thing in this world, nor worth paying attention to by anyone making decisions. If the ultras have a history of being wise about things thats one thing. Im doubting they do...
Hahaha.

Critical boardroom meeting.

"But sir, the ultras..."

….it is the most critical appointment but Moshiri isn’t the only one who’s struggled on that front, United have struggled since SAF, it took City a while to get Guardiola and the RS finally found Klopp.

I’d have no idea who to appoint, I often think it’s often a case of right person, right place, right time. TFG apparently use specialist recruiters to find the right appointments but Roma have struggled on the Manager and DOF fronts.
Spot on. Right person, right place, right time. Nobody can quantify that. It happens or does not. This is not only the manager, this is the squad and backroom.

Disagree .
They are a club from one of the most famous and iconic capital cities in the world .
There fanbase dwarfs ours and it is a truly global fan base .
Their potential and the financial reward any sustained success would bring to TFG is far greater than anything they could realise with us, and almost certainly far less costly to achieve.
None of this matters anymore. Burnley are richer than Ajax. An English Premier League club with the heft to crash the top six will offer a huge upside to serious investors. Serie A is currently a financial backwater by comparison.

Just as Serie A was the place to be in the 80s, the PL is the place to be in the 20s.

You’re correct in that it won’t be transformative for the league as a whole. But I’m hoping that with our fan base, our new stadium and the expertise and ambition of the Friedkins, we can at least be challenging for some things aside from staying in the league. That would be a wonderful start for me.
I think the Europa Conference League and League Cup should be realistic targets and KPIs of the Friedkin era. I am not expecting regular CL participation, but if Spurs, Newcastle and Villa can make it, we definitely can with the right ownership. This is the test of them.

Make it so Dan.

I have fairly modest expectations about the takeover. I don't see it as a big disruptive event for English football. It just isnt.

This is perhaps our final chance to regain some relevancy. Regaining it is one thing, sustaining it is quite another matter.

It used to be the big four, then the big six, now arguably the big seven. That's without Villa in the Champions League.

Can we regain and maintain status as a top ten club first of all and then, can we have the odd better season within that like Brighton and Villa?

I'd be more hopeful of doing well in Europe if we get back in.

I think we are a bigger club than Spurs. They just do enough to hang in there, they are like unwanted guests at a party, they don't leave. But they are always in the conversation so to speak without ever threatening to win anything save from Pochettinos time. "Emulating" them doesn't seem very inspiring but I'd settle for it over the next decade with a pot or two thrown in. Heck even a couple of finals. If Atalanta can win the Europa League, Everton can.

It's not what I dreamt of as a 10 year old. But it would do until Friedkin sells us to Qatar.

One of the things i find interesting is he must be aware of the status quo and what it takes to break in to every 6 positions + in the PL and still want to do it.

20 years ago, City were a back water club, 30 years ago Chelsea rub shoulders with us - it is possible, a huge challenge and no mistake - im very curious as to why he would take it one.
