It seems that the London meeting was attended by Dan and Ryan Friedkin, Claudio Ranieri, Florent Ghisolfi and a fourth person. Many believe this fourth person to be Fabio Paratici, former Juventus DoF. I read on X - please note, these are just rumors - that Paratici, who's currently just a Friedkin advisor, might become Everton DoF.
I was never great at maths...

So Textor gets financially troubled Lyon took take up the option to buy Mangala for $35m from Forest (helping Forest’s PSR situation), who they don’t seem to want, then 6 months later gets Lyon to loan him to us, and according to their accounts there was no loan fee (so helping us fill our squad despite our PSR situation). Lyon, the club he actually owns, then run out of money.

Thanks I guess 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
I remember now, Paratici was implicated in the Juventus financial scandal, involving allegations of false accounting related to player valuations. That led to a global ban from football-related activities by FIFA, which is why he left spurs.

We did give him 17m for a centre back who never plays

I report it here because I think it might affect Everton too.

In the first press conference of his third term as Roma manager, Claudio Ranieri has announced he will join AS Roma's BoD at the end of the season. He's talked a lot about his meeting with Dan Friedkin in London, saying that they agreed on the necessity to put a football savvy, expert person at the helm of the club (finally!).

Friedkin told him: "I spent a lot of money, but the club hasn't improved as much as I wanted".

Ranieri also said he'll become Friedkin's first football advisor. I believe this will affect Everton too, at least partially.

All a bit daft isn't it!! Wonder what the situation is if they have a transfer ban and Everton want to activate their option to buy Mangala at the end of the season? Probably irrelevant as can't see the club being interested to pay it anyway

o’brien be in limbo?

Seems a bit like Text was dropping his panties (loaning Mangala on very Everton-friendly terms) to curry flavour with the Mosh Man. Obviously too late to recall him now, so a really good deal for Everton tbh.

Check the Nuamah & Niakhate loan and permanent fee as well.

The bloke has done not much short of €100mil on 3 players who are not worth half those figures.

We did give him 17m for a centre back who never plays

Official records posted yesterday state it was €14.3mil / £11.95mil

His ban is lifted in June 25, probably right in time as Thelwells contract ends
