Almost definitely very true. Just as this fan base is thinking "it'll be our time soon" the Newcastle fans will be saying the same thing, as will the Villa fans, and the Spurs fans, and the United fans, the Chelsea fans, Arsenal, Brighton, West Ham etc etc etc.

Every now and then someone outside the "big boys" might achieve something unexpected, but it wont be the norm, no matter how many times the 9269823686 talking heads on TV try to call it proof of "the best league in the world".

That is the danger, that the Premiership will be a beefed up version of the Scottish league; once in a while, such as when Alex Ferguson managed Aberdeen, someone might briefly upset the "big boys", but basically it'll be three or four clubs dominating trophies and CL places.

It's been that way for ages already, mate. La liga is 2 teams and France and Germany are pretty much 1 team leagues. Italy is a little more interesting since Juve got punished. There's very little competition because the big boys hoard all the best players for their benches. It would take an incredible turn of events for any of this change eg WIII.
