Three years back I lived in a village about 90km west of Prague. Birthplace of former Prime Minister Edvard Benes.

Anyway, a woman lived there who collected cats, she would entice them from gardens, take them from classified ads (farm kittens are given away here).

She raised them and ate them. She lived in a building registered as a holiday home, so from time to time would hide out to avoid paying the residence tax and utilities charges (about £45 a year, including weekly refuse collections).

Just found out she died in a recent spell of hot weather. Fell in her garden and nobody knew. Fun little anecdote for everyone's Sunday.
