OK... I'm sure, like me, you're probably not the biggest fans of the fat, riduculously face-fuzzed, paella serving, salad swerving numpty across the park, but ask yourselves this question: Who would you rather be managing the [Poor language removed]? The cuddly figure of fun we've all come to know and hold in contempt, or... possibly, next time, somebody halfway competent?

Now I know that there's usually the bonus of a new manager overhauling the squad, wasting millions on his own group of workshy, diving, cheating, alice-banded ponces... but Rafael does this every season anyway, without the uncertainty, and slight risk of success that a new manager might bring...

So, I ask, nay implore, you all to find it within your hearts to get behind the goatee'd monstrosity (there's plenty of room)... you know it makes sense.

.... Maybe we could borrow KEIOC's plane for our next home game?

Keep Rafael, piss the Arabs off and allow the Yanks to load the debt on the club. Sounds like a plan to me.

(Fat Sam and the Special One are both currently without jobs though...)

[Poor language removed]!!!! Looks like the Owners ARE actively looking for a replacement:

Liverpool co-owner Tom Hicks has cast more doubt over Rafael Benitez's future at Anfield after confirming the club lined-up a move for Jurgen Klinsmann before the German moved to Bayern Munich.

Benitez's position at Liverpool has been the subject of constant speculation ever since his row with Hicks and fellow co-owner George Gillett.

Klinsmann was strongly linked with a move to Liverpool, with Hicks and Gillett believed to be big admirers of the former Germany coach.

Hicks has now sensationally admitted that he tried to negotiate an option to bring the former Tottenham hero to Anfield as a replacement for Benitez.

"We attempted to negotiate an option, as an insurance policy, to have him become manager if Rafael left for Real Madrid or other clubs that were rumoured in the UK press," Hicks told The Liverpool Echo.

"Or in case our communication spiraled out of control for some reason."

The Spaniard has played down the rumours over his future by saying he is happy at Anfield, but Hicks' comments could see Benitez's position become untenable

Mourinho didn't exactly get on with Liverpool when he was here did he, especially after they cheated Chelsea in the semi-final of the CL. He probably hates them as much as we do.

I am good with that.

I think Jon Aldridge should get the job, I mean he has obvious eye for talent. I've heard him on the radio.

Mark Clattenburg could probably do with a new career.

you cant question his desire can you? And his knowledge of the players.

Wasn't it him who gave a controversial penalty to Liverpool vs shef united and said "a sheffield united player tripped Stevie G, it was a penalty".

He'll be calling him honeykins next.

Can't wait for summer, when Rafael sells 16 peripheral players (that he bought last summer) and buys another 18 players.

He's like a kid in a toy shop. Only he gets bored with them really quickly.

GO Rafael!
