Won't mean a thing this to anyone who hasn't lived here, but the legend that was the Cabin Club has finally shut after decades of service to the young and not so young.

Many many happy memories of the place and in the 80's and 90's it was responsible for a lot of one nighters and also plenty of relationships that went onto become marriages .

RIP the " Bin ".

Used to be a favourite hangout for the police and other professionals. So obviously I wasn't a regular. Had the original WAGS hunting a professional husband, now they only want football players. Think I remember the stairs being treacherous.

I was/am more of a Raz fella. I prefer the easy disgusting girls who you don't have to buy a drink.

I read somewhere that time actually does go quicker as you get older because the brain works faster. I knew these kids were slow like......

I think it is more to do with the fact that you spend your adult life doing the same monotonous things over and over 8 hours a day relentlessly until you retire, therefore everyday is exactly the same and your brain cannot distinguish any difference. When you are a kid you are constantly doing different things and time seems to last forever!

Pubs shut at 3pm and then opened again at 7pm.

Resulting in either a lock in or a desperate search for a members club that would allow you to join for the afternoon, usually for the princely sum of a quid and signing a register !
