Reidy's Bottle Of Grecian

The Unobstructed View
anyone sit in the paddock ?
i've been getting the same seat and wondered if any of you sit in there, sit about level with the street end penalty d.

the paddock should sing more in an attempt to get the whole ground rocking, for opposition players to be on a touchline where the natives are going ape has surely got to be off putting for them.

Spot on Kel ,I have often thought about this as most fans who go to away games know are supporters away are second to none,But its like there is an unwritten law about letting yourself have the same level of intensity at home unless its a big game .the away fans appears to out sing us.while I am the first to say its up to the players to lift us with their display it should not really be the case ,if we feel aggrieved then goodison becomes a cauldron of emotion and as you say Kel it does HELP win games. when I was younger I would never dream of going in the stands as the atmosphere was like being in a library, How you can get the fans singing though thats the question the other season I was sitting behind a guy in the upper stand who started singing on his own and the fans by him told him to shut up!their attitude is simple they go to be entertained not to entertain.

we should get back to the old adage that going to the game gives you somewhere to release any pent up tension, even if it's just a bellowing roar. i come home hoarse every time (thinking of gargling soluble aspirin to get the voice back).
the paddock could play a big part in the atmos. with being so close and all.
btw i was expecting a mass melodic rendition of delila......no chance, they just shout it as load as they can !! although the whole ground does do it at once.

I liked the way Mosey shook hands with their fans at the end.doubt the fat waiter would have done,I was given a yellow at home over the pen for foul and abusive language in front of minors(our Harry brought his mate to watch) the wife was not pleased with me and our Harry helped saying its alright Nan he did it at the Blackburn game and nobody shouted:lol:
