Gotta change the avatar. The season's on, and I've gotta put up my Cubbie Bear.

Checking to see if there are any baseball fans over here.

Everton are my second blue obsession - Cubs are in the royal blue shirts on the deuce tonight and are sticking it to Houston 3 - 0 right now. Z is en fuego.

Dare I say it I'm a big red machine fan. To bad they have been terrible the past decade. Bench, Rose, Foster, Morgan with Sparky Anderson coaching them they were the team. Cincinnati is only a four hour drive so not so bad. Braves are about the same south.

Went to Wrigley a few years back and loved it. I hear thats a hard ticket to get now.

The Reds are a great historic franchise. We love kicking their butts. Glad to see Dunn gone - I know all the down sides but only Carlos Lee is a bigger Cub killer. Somehow he doesn't seem as menacing in DC. Sorry about that color thing, though. I never refer to the Cincinnati team as the RS. That I save for the Cardinals. :P
 
Mariners here! I have followed them since 1998 when I was stationed across the Puget Sound from them. Went to the last game at the Kingdome too.

Lou had some great teams out there at that time. I love to watch Ichiro play the game - you can always learn more about how to play the game watching Ichiro than any other guy I can think of. He has the world's highest baseball IQ -he should manage after he hangs it up.

Unfortunately, Seattle looks to be pretty awful this year - however their new MLS team is off to a roaring start. 40,000 for the home games so far.
 
They are doing pretty good (3 wins, none conceded - yeah, not bad :P). Freddie Ljundberg scored a nice one in their last game.
 
I used to watch a bit of it on channel 5 if I got in late but it bored me & that was the highlights so I can't imagine sitting through a full game would be entertaining to me.

That said, I'm trying to get to more sporting events than just Everton 1st team matches to see how other sports compare so if I had the chance to go to a fairly local game when I had no other plans, I probably would do
 
Count me in for some abuse. I grew up an Astros fan when they were 40 games back every year. Now that I live in the DFW area, I track the Rangers. Can't win for losing.

But the truth be known, I have an 8-game pass to the local AA minor league team in Frisco. I enjoy that better than the hassel of the big club's games/parking/prices/crowds.

The only thing I hate as much as kopites are Cubs fans.

But since you love Everton, I'll give you a pass.

I don't expect much out of my Astros this year. No pitching. Can't win if you don't have good pitching. We'll be lucky to finish 4th in the division.
 
The St. Louis Cardinals.

Now there's a baseball club I can respect. Some good battles with my Astros over the years.

Pujols is easily one of the top three players in baseball. Loved it when you guys had Eckstein at shortstop.

You and Mezzrow will get along just fine. :D
