Player Valuation: £100m
Seems like the gravy train over on the dark side has been derailed.

If you beleive pretty reliable reports Alonso is being sold to Junentus to release funds for new players, Crouch could also go and Kewall already turned down a new contract offer on reduced terms and will leave on a free. All suggesting that money is needed and needed badly.

For me Ming isnt exactly a matermind in the transfer market and on a limited budget i can see a great decline next season. Personally i beleive what has kept them ahead of us by the skin of their teeth in recent seasons has been the money they have thrown around.

If you look at it we have slowly reeled them in in recent seasons and next could be the one where we finaly overtake them!

God bless america.

Expect Crouch to twiddle his thumbs on the bench for most of next season with him rejecting a move - the asking price of £15M smacks of desperation (can't be worth more than £8-10M even if on long term contract) and stupidity - on a Bosman by next summer or a virtual one by January, by which time they will have to cash in for around £3-5M. Even more amusing if the CL adventure ends by Xmas - a perfect present for Blues all over the world.

Though in the [Poor language removed]'s defence, West Ham and NUFC are stupid enough to pay 15M for Crouch. The [Poor language removed] will find cash somewhere, the big 4 always does.

In the past I would agree but Hicks is having financial problems and will have to buy out Gillette to keep control so where is all this money coming from? having said that there is plenty of sub standard players on their books who I am sure The Waiter will be glad to see the back of the problem will be that they are on good wages more than they are worth so no club is likely to match it Ok Crouch and ALonso probably will but the rest? I would love them to crash out of Euro at the first stage then the [Poor language removed] will hit the fan and sods law they must be due it.
