Intersting segment by Lawrenson on the highlights show last night (if that isn't an oxymoron!). LFC's connection to the battle for the Spion Kop in Natal during the Boer War. I knew the basic storyline but hadn't realised Churchill and Ghandi were involved in all this.

I had a great, great uncle who served in the Wiltshires in that war. Some cracking memorabilia he brought back. Old drawings penned on khaki, pith helmet etc.

I miss the Empire...prefer the Royal Court.
