also interesting today that capello is talking up the 'lead by example' notion he wants to instill in his picks for international duty.

It was a shocking tackle. Should have been a straight red for sure. The reaction from the Chelsea players when Cole got booked was also a disgrace.

Im sure you will understand the furore if you happen to see it mate. The tackle was bad and for me, intentional. Despite the severity of that however, the real problem for me was the petulant reaction by the Chelsea team after it. Cole showed blatant disrespect by turning his back on the ref and Terry's constant moaning and shouting was deserving of the criticism that has since come his way.

Hopefully, while it appears that these players wont get punished for their actions at WHL, we might see harsher penalties for players who act in such a manner and who knows, maybe a seemingly strong disciplinarian like Capello might indeed tackle the problem.
